ZTE to Debut Own-branded Smartphones in Europe
May 07, 2010
Chinese telecom equipment provider ZTE recently announced the rollout of its first own-branded phones in Europe, according to a May 6 TechEye report. ZTE's first own-branded phones targeting the European market will be two Smarphone models, ZTE Link and ZTE Cute, which will be sold in France through Bouygues Telecom. The ZTE Link runs on Google's Android platform and features a touchscreen display. The EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution)-based ZTE Cute comes in a touchscreen display, too. Following the launch in France, ZTE expects to roll out own-branded phones in the United Kingdom as well, but there is no confirmed schedule yet.
